The police called Sharma on June 22 to record her statement over her derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad and the Muslim community, news agency ANI reported. Sharma's comments, made during a TV debate nearly 10 days ago, and Jindal's now-deleted tweets sparked a Twitter trend calling for a boycott of Indian products in some countries.After the action, Sharma unconditionally withdrew her controversial statement and claimed that her comments were a reaction to "continuous insult and disrespect towards our Mahadev (Lord Shiva)”.

Some People 'Spreading Anarchy' To Remove PM Modi From Power: Ramdev On Agnipath Protests

Terming protests against the Agnipath scheme as "meaningless politics", yoga guru Swami Ramdev on Wednesday alleged that a few people are "spreading anarchy" in the country to 'remove' Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah from power.

"If they (protesters) had done yoga, they wouldn't have resorted to arson. They should also perform yoga. It (protests against Agnipath) is a meaningless politics. Basically, a few people are running an agenda to spread anarchy in the country. They want to spread anarchy to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah from power," he said.

Forty Maharashtra MLAs including 33 Shiv Sena and seven independent MLAs exhorted their support to rebel Shiv Sena leader and state Cabinet Minister Eknath Shinde by signing a letter, said sources to ANI.

They further said the rebel legislators may write to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari seeking for floor test in the state Legislative Assembly. The 40 MLAs led by Shinde arrived at a luxury hotel in Guwahati in BJP-ruled Assam on Wednesday.

The revolt in the Shiv Sena has given rise to speculations that Shinde along with other MLAs might join the BJP in a bid to topple the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
