Delhi Court To Hear Trainee IAS Officer Puja Khedkar's Anticipatory Bail Plea Today
A Delhi court will hear the anticipatory bail plea of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) probationary officer Puja Khedkar, who has been accused of cheating and forgery.
Additional Sessions Judge Devender Kumar Jangala was scheduled to hear the matter on Tuesday. But the hearing was adjourned after the public prosecutor (PP) sought time, saying that a new public prosecutor was appointed in the matter, who will put forward arguments.
Khedkar has moved the court, claiming that she is innocent and has not committed any offence.
"The applicant has been falsely implicated in the present FIR and on a bare perusal of the same, no prima facie offence is made out against her," her application claimed.
As per her application, the documents submitted by her during the filing of the form and during the time of joining the civil services, were public records that were obtained from various government authorities.
The application stated that on July 1, 2023, Khedkar underwent a medical examination at AIIMS New Delhi's department of physical medicine and rehabilitation, which confirmed that she has multiple disabilities. It further stated that her disability percentage was assessed at 47 relative to her body. Therefore, there was no possibility that a forged medical certificate was produced.
