United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Lammy has arrived in Delhi on his first official visit since the assumption of office.
Three people were reportedly killed as a three-storeyed building collapsed in Dwarka, Gujarat, late last night. "Our team reached the site immediately after receiving the information of a roof collapse. We pulled out three people from the rubble," says NDRF inspector Bipin Kumar.
The Border Security Forces (BSF) recovered 2 kg of heroin at the Indo-Pak international border in Rajasthan. The heroin was found in the border village of Rawla Mandi.
The recovered heroin is worth Rs 10 crore. Hardeep Singh, a resident of Baruwala Sameja Kothi, is connected to the heroin smuggling syndicate.

Yellow Alert For Rainfall Issued In Delhi Over Next 2 Days
The India Meteorological Department on Tuesday issued a yellow alert for the national capital for the next two days. According to the weather department, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius, which was 1.3 notches above normal. "The relative humidity at 5.30 pm stood at 68 per cent. The city will be on yellow alert for the next two days," the IMD said.
The weather office has forecast moderate rainfall for July 24, with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to hover around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded in the satisfactory category, with a reading of 93 at 6 pm.
UK Foreign Secretary Lammy To Begin 2-Day India Visit Today
In the first high-level engagement between India and United Kingdom after Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government came to power, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy is set to pay a two-day visit to India, beginning Wednesday.
According to a report by news agency PTI, the wide-ranging talks between Lammy and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will likely include the long-pending India-UK free trade agreement (FTA) along with discussion on New Delhi's concerns over pro-Khalistan activities in Britain.
The British foreign secretary is also slated to meet Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal. During their meeting, both the nations are expected to reaffirm their commitment to the proposed free trade pact.
The issue of the FTA figured during a phone conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Starmer on July 6.
After the phone conversation, Starmer stated that he stood ready to conclude a deal that worked for both the nations, a statement issued by the UK government said.
