Officials said they were later joined by the Fire and Emergency Services Department personnel. The local residents have demanded the setting up of a dedicated fire and emergency services unit in the area to respond to such situations immediately in future.

Delhi Riots: HC Verdict On Tuesday On Plea Over Death Of Man Forced To Sing National Anthem
The Delhi High Court is set to deliver its verdict on Tuesday regarding a plea requesting an investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the death of a 23-year-old man who was allegedly forced to sing the national anthem during the 2020 riots.
According to PTI, Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani will announce the judgment on a petition submitted by the deceased Faizan's mother.
A video that went viral on social media showed Faizan and four other Muslim men being allegedly beaten by policemen and forced to sing the national anthem and "Vande Mataram".
In her 2020 plea, Faizan's mother, Kismatun, claimed that the police assaulted and illegally detained her son, denying him critical medical care, which led to his death on February 26 after his release.
Four Newly Elected MLAs Of Bengal Assembly To Take Oath On Tuesday
Four newly elected Trinamool Congress MLAs is scheduled to take oath in the West Bengal Assembly on Tuesday, Speaker Biman Bandyopadhyay said. The 10-day session of the House began on Monday and was adjourned after obituary references.
"As per convention and under Article 188 of the Constitution, the four newly elected members, who won in the recent by-elections, will be sworn in by me," the Speaker told reporters at his assembly chamber.
The swearing-in is to take place in the assembly before the House resumes at 1 pm on Tuesday, he said.
The by-polls were necessitated as sitting MLAs Krishna Kalyani from Raiganj, Biswajit Das from Bagdah, and Mukut Mani Adhikari from Ranaghat Dakshin resigned from their seats to contest the Lok Sabha elections. The by-election in Maniktala was necessitated after the death of sitting MLA Sadhan Pandey in 2022.
