A girl died of electrocution, and 11 others suffered minor injuries at a Madrasa in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Tuesday night, news agency PTI reported, citing officials. The girls, studying in Madrasa, were playing in the compound when they suffered an electric shock from an iron grill in the complex, they said.
Twelve girls were immediately shifted to Raja Sukhdev Singh district hospital in Poonch, where one of them was declared dead on arrival, Medical Superintendent Dr Nipun Khajuria said. She said that the rest of the victims suffered minor injuries and would be discharged after treatment.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Austria from Moscow on a two-day visit to Austria on Tuesday. During this visit, the two nations will explore ways to further deepen their bilateral relationship and closer cooperation on the many geopolitical challenges.
"Landed in Vienna. This visit to Austria is a special one. Our nations are connected by shared values and a commitment to a better planet. Looking forward to the various programmes in Austria including talks with Chancellor @karlnehammer, interactions with the Indian community and more," the prime minister posted on X, along with a series of photographs.

Pak Court Denies Pre-Arrest Bail To Imran Khan In May 9 Riot Cases, Allows Police Custody For Questioning
A Pakistani court on Tuesday denied former Prime Minister Imran Khan pre-arrest bail in three cases related to the May 9 riots, allowing police to take him into custody for questioning.
Khan faces charges of inciting attacks on the Lahore Corps Commander House, also known as Jinnah House, Askari Tower, and Shadman police station on May 9, 2023, after his arrest in a corruption case, as per PTI report.
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder, who is currently dealing with over 200 cases, has been in jail since August of last year.
On Tuesday, Lahore's Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge Khalid Arshad denied Khan's pre-arrest bail petitions in the three cases. The prosecution compared the May 9 violence to the United States Capitol Hill attacks, arguing that police needed custody of the former prime minister to complete their investigation.
