Delhi: Boy Succumbs To Injuries After 'Scuffle' With Classmate, Probe Underway

A 14-year-old boy was discovered with severe injuries to his head, face, and left hand in Brahmpuri area in Delhi. Blood spots were found at several places on the road. He was rushed to the JPC Hospital, where he was declared dead. 


According to sources, he was a Class 8 student. Initial inquiries suggest that he engaged in a confrontation with another boy after school hours. The matter is still under investigation, police said.

NIA Arrests Two Absconding Bangladeshi Nationals In Human Trafficking Case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) detained two fugitive Bangladeshi citizens, Mohammed Sajjid Haldar and Idris, in connection with the human trafficking case in Bangladesh. This brings the total number of arrests to 14. They were apprehended in Karnataka after an extensive search conducted by the NIA. The pair had been evading authorities and were located and apprehended on Thursday evening with the cooperation of the Internal Security Division of Karnataka.

Shahi Idgah Case: High Court To Hear Plea Challenging Maintainability Of Suit On Feb 23


The Allahabad High Court will hear a plea challenging the maintainability of a suit seeking to remove the Shahi Idgah mosque in Mathura, which it claims was built on 13.37 acres of land belonging to the Katra Keshav Deo temple.


After hearing counsel from both sides, Justice Mayank Kumar Jain set February 23 as the next date of hearing in the case.


On January 30, the high court scheduled a hearing on the plea challenging the suit's maintainability for February 22, and stated that objections to the plea must be filed before that date.


On January 17, the court gave the Hindu side time to respond to the Muslim side's application regarding the suit's maintainability.

The former MP's senior counsel claimed she was being "hounded," and information about the agency's issuance of summons to her was published in the media before she received them.


Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar On One-Day Tour Of Sambhajinagar Today


Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, will be on a day-long tour of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district on Friday, attending NCP events and chairing an official review meeting.


After arriving in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in central Maharashtra, Pawar, who is in charge of finance and planning, will proceed to the district collector's office and preside over a review meeting, news agency PTI reported citing an official.


He will later speak at a press conference. According to his itinerary, Pawar will then visit Gangapur to unveil a statue of Ahilyabai Holkar, the legendary queen of mediaeval India's Malwa kingdom, and address a rally.


According to PTI, the deputy chief minister will then attend his party's state-level 'Samvidhan Gaurav' rally in Padegaon. Pawar will meet with local NCP workers and office bearers in the evening before departing for Pune.
