India, Singapore PMs To Witness Real-Time Payment Systems Linkage On Tuesday


On February 21 morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will witness the debut of cross-border connection between India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Singapore's PayNow, according to the Union Finance Ministry.


The session will be held through video conference at 11 a.m. (IST), according to a release.


The cross-border link will be launched by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) managing director Ravi Menon, according to the statement.


India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing financial innovation hubs. According to the report, Prime Minister Modi's innovative leadership has been important in promoting the globalisation of India's best-in-class digital payment infrastructure.


Ukraine To Hold Meeting With EU, NATO On Feb 21


Ukraine will conduct its first trilateral meeting with the European Union (EU) and NATO later this month, according to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, IANS reported.


Kuleba, Stoltenberg, and Borrell will meet on February 21 at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, according to Xinhua, which cited NATO's press office.


The Ukrainian administration stated in January that integration into the EU and NATO is one of Ukraine's top priorities.


Ukraine was recognised as a candidate for EU membership in June 2022 by EU leaders.
