West Bengal tourism minister Babul Supriyo was hospitalised on Monday afternoon after he complained of chest pain, a senior official said. The singer-turned-politician was made to undergo medical tests as soon as he was admitted to a hospital here, the official said. The angiography test has revealed that the minister has "minor coronary artery disease", he said.

PM Modi To Inaugurate 14th Edition Of Aero India


"Aero India," India's biennial aerospace exhibition, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. It will highlight the country's potential as an emerging hub for the production of military aircraft, helicopters, equipment, and cutting-edge avionics.


According to officials, the five-day exhibition at the Yalahanka Air Force station complex on the outskirts of Bengaluru will include 809 defense companies and delegates from 98 nations, reported news agency PTI.


They stated that approximately 250 business-to-business agreements are anticipated to be concluded at Aero India, which is anticipated to unlock approximately Rs 75,000 crore in investment.


They stated that the 14th edition of Aero India, which will have the theme "The runway to a billion opportunities," will demonstrate the development of the nation's aerospace and defense capabilities and will radiate the rise of a strong and self-reliant "New India."


In accordance with the government's "Make in India, Make for the World" vision, the focus will be on showcasing indigenous equipment and technologies and establishing partnerships with foreign businesses.


Two Newly Appointed Supreme Court Judges To Take Oath


On Monday morning, Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud will administer the oath of office to two new judges, Justices Rajesh Bindal and Aravind Kumar.


Justice Bindal served as the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court prior to their elevation to the apex court, while Justice Kumar served as the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court.


After a gap of nine months, the top court will have 34 judges, including the Chief Justice of India, when they take the oath.


Justice Bindal has been the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court since October 11, 2021. The Punjab and Haryana High Court is his parent cadre.


Justice Bindal, who was born on April 16, 1961, earned his LL.B. from Kurukshetra University in 1985 before joining the Punjab and Haryana High Court in September 1985.


On March 22, 2006, he was elevated to the rank of judge at the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
