Welcome to the ABP News LIVE Updates for February 12, 2021: Strong tremors of Earthquake were felt across North India including Delhi-NCR on Friday. The impact of tremors was felt from Punjab to Jammu and Kashmir. Earthquake tremors were felt at around 10:31 pm. People came out of their homes as soon as the earthquake struck. Apart from Delhi-NCR, earthquake tremors were also felt in Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

North India Earthquake Update

Severe Earthquake tremors were felt on Friday night in several states of North India including Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan. The first shock was felt at 10:31 pm with its epicenter in Tajikistan and its intensity is reported to be 6.3.  At 10:34 am, tremors were felt for the second time, its epicentre was in Punjab's Amritsar, the intensity of which is being reported 6.1 on the Ricter scale.

Congress MLA from Fatehpur, Kangra, Sujan Singh Pathania passes away at 78

MLA Fatehpur MLA and former Transport and Energy Minister Sujan Singh Pathania passed away late Thursday night. Sujan Singh Pathania, 86, was suffering from various diseases for the last several years. He was undergoing treatment in Chandigarh and Ludhiana for a long time.


Sujan Singh Pathania has been instrumental in the development of Fatehpur. The result of this was that when he was not able to get out of the house due to illness in the 2019 assembly elections and was in bed, then the local people made him an MLA despite being ill. He has not been able to attend the assembly session even once after the MLA in the last three years.

Farmers continue their protest on the 79th day and a statement by Rakesh Tikait has caused a rift among the protestors. Rakesh Tikat, leading the farmers' protest from Ghazipur border said on Thursday thatif Centre doesn't withdraw the Farm laws, they will continue their protest till October 2, Gandhi Jayanti.


While Tikait gave an ultimatum, to withdraw the agricultural laws, other farmer leaders are unhappy with his statement and their reaction even suggests a split in their unity. Reacting to Rakesh Tikait's announcement,  the Kisan United Front has said that this movement will go on till the withdrawal of the laws.
