AAP To Seek Public Opinion From Dec 1 On Whether Kejriwal Should Resign As CM If Arrested:

The AAP will hold a signature drive from December 1 to 20 to gauge public opinion on whether Arvind Kejriwal should resign as Delhi chief minister if he is arrested as part of a "BJP conspiracy," according to the party's city convener Gopal Rai.

In a press conference with party MP Raghav Chadha, Rai claimed the BJP plotted to have Kejriwal arrested in the "fake" liquor scam case in order to demolish the Aam Aadmi Party.

From Friday, AAP volunteers will carry pamphlets to all 2,600 polling stations across the city, asking for people's signatures on whether Kejriwal should step down as Delhi chief minister if he is arrested, he said.

According to Rai, Kejriwal met with AAP MLAs and councillors to get their thoughts on the matter, and there was agreement that he should not resign and run the government from jail.
