Congress' Maharashtra incharge Ramesh Chennithala met with Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday. Thackeray is currently on a three-day visit to Delhi.
The Congress leader told news agency PTI that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) would likely discuss seat-sharing for Maharashtra assembly polls on August 7 in Mumbai.
Thackeray is expected to meet key Opposition leaders, including Leader of Opposition Leader in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi during his three-day Delhi visit.
Thackeray embarked on his first visit to Delhi after the MVA, which comprises Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP) bagged 31 out of 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra.
Chennithala told PTI that the meeting with Thackeray at Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut's residence was informal.
