Delhi Mayor Polls To Be Held Today: 


The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will hold elections for mayor and deputy mayor on Wednesday (April 26). Sunita, an AAP councillor from Dwarka C ward, joined the BJP on Monday in the presence of senior BJP leaders from Delhi. While welcoming Sunita into the party, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva claimed that AAP volunteers were treated like "bonded labour."


Delhi Court Likely To Pass Order On Sisodia's Bail On Wednesday: 


A court in this city is expected to rule on AAP leader Manish Sisodia's bail application in a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam on Wednesday. After hearing arguments on Sisodia's application for relief claiming that his custody was no longer required for investigation, Special Judge M K Nagpal reserved the order.


The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had objected to the application, claiming that the investigation was at a "crucial" stage and that the former Delhi deputy chief minister had planted forged e-mails to demonstrate public support for the policy. The federal anti-money laundering agency has also stated that it has discovered new evidence of his involvement in the alleged crime.


PM Modi To Address Closing Ceremony Of Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam: 


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will use video conferencing to address the closing ceremony of the Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam on Wednesday, according to a press release issued by the prime minister's office (PMO).


The programme arose from the prime minister's vision of promoting the spirit of "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" through initiatives that bring out and help rediscover the age-old links between people in different parts of the country, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office.


The Kashi Tamil Sangamam was organised earlier with this in mind, it said. The Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam advances this vision by celebrating Gujarat and Tamil Nadu's shared culture and heritage.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate the daylong 'Mann Ki Baat@100' conclave organised by Prasar Bharti on Wednesday to commemorate the 100th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio address.
