5 Bodies Recovered From Illegal Firecracker Factory Blast Site

Ashish Ghosh, Fire Station Officer, while talking to news agency ANI said that five bodies have been recovered so far following the explosion that took place at the illegal crackers factory in Duttapukur. Several are feared dead and a rescue operation is underway.


The injured are being taken to Barasat Hospital for treatment, said Duttapukur Police sources while talking to ANI.

Ukraine's Most Celebrated Fighter Pilot Dies With 2 Airmen In Mid-Air Crash

One of the most celebrated fighter pilots of Ukraine, Andrii Pilshchykov, died along with other two airmen in a mid-air crash. The Ukrainian military said that the death of these airmen were "painful and irreparable" losses. The Military paid tribute to Pilshchykov as a pilot who possessed "mega knowledge and mega talent".




According to the BBC, the crash involved two L-39 training planes that were flying over the northern part of Ukraine.






An investigation into the matter has been launched to see whether flight preparation rules were correctly followed or not.



1 Dead, 46 Injured In Blasts At A Fuel Station In Romania


Huge blasts at a fuel station in Romania led to the death of one and injured at least 46 others. Out of the 46 who got injured, 26 were firefighters who got injured after they rushed to the spot following the first explosion. People within a radius of 700-metre (almost half a mile) have been evacuated from the area following these blasts, reported BBC.

The date will be announced within two days," as reported by ANI.

Special Ops Team In Hyderabad Seizes 90 Kg Of Ganja Worth Rs 30 Lakh, 2 Apprehended

A Special Operations Team (SOT) of Hyderabad on Friday apprehended two dry ganja peddlers while they were transporting it from Orissa to Hyderabad with the help of DTDC courier services. The SOT seized around 90 kilograms of dry ganja which was worth around Rs 30 lakh. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway. ADCP, Madhapur Zone, Cyberabad, N Narsimha Reddy confirmed the news while talking to the media.

PM Modi To Address B20 Summit India 2023 On August 27


On August 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak at the B20 Summit India 2023.  According to his office, the Summit brought together policymakers, business leaders, and experts from around the world to deliberate and discuss the B20 India Communique.  According to the B20 India Communique, it comprises 54 proposals and 172 policy measures for submission to the G20.


The Business 20 (B20) is the G20's official venue for communication with the global business sector. B20, which was founded in 2010, is one of the most visible participation groups in the G20, including enterprises and business organisations as members.


According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the B20 aims to produce tangible actionable policy suggestions to boost economic growth and development.


The three-day summit began on August 25 with the theme R.A.I.S.E. (Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustainable, and Equitable). Over 1500 delegates from approximately 55 countries are attending.


G20 Chief Scientific Advisers' Meet To Be Held In Gandhinagar On August 27-28


The G20-Chief Scientific Advisers' Roundtable will hold its second meeting in Gujarat's capital Gandhinagar on August 27 and 28, as part of India's chairmanship of the organisation, authorities said on Thursday.


Scientific advisors, researchers, and scientists from member countries and invited countries will meet to discuss the latest developments in science and technology, according to IAS officer Mona Khandhar, the Gujarat government's nodal officer for G20 events taking place in the state.


The G20-Chief Scientific Advisers' Roundtable had its maiden meeting recently in Uttarakhand.


During a press conference, Khandhar announced that on August 27 three bilateral talks with officials from Saudi Arabia, Australia, and the United Kingdom will be held at the Hotel Leela in Gandhinagar.


"The 4th Inter-sessional meeting will be held in the afternoon that day at the boardroom of Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar. Following the meetings, the delegates will visit the Modhera Sun Temple to experience the rich heritage of the state," said Khandhar.
