Mahaarshtra Records Over 35,900 New Covid-19 Cases

Maharashtra on Thursday reported as many as 35,952 fresh cases of Coronavirus, the state health department informed. Meanwhile, 20,444 people infected with Covid-19 were discharged and 111 lost their lives in the last 24 hours

Delhi Reports 1,515 New Covid-19 Cases

Delhi on Thursday reported 1,515 new COVID-19 cases, 903 recoveries and 5 deaths in the last 24 hours, state health department informed.

Gujarat Reports 1,961 Fresh Covid-19 Cases

Gujarat has reported as many as 1,961 fresh Covid-19 cases on Thursday. The state health department informed that 7 people lost their lives due to the deadly virus and over 1,400 were discharged from hospitals.

Sachin Vaze Sent To NIA Custody Till April 3

Arrested-suspended Mumbai Police Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, accused in death of Mansukh Hiran, has been sent to NIA custody till April 3. Billed as a prime accused, Vaze, a former 'encounter specialist', was arrested for his role in the case and sent to NIA custody till March 25.

Srinagar CRPF Attack Update

One jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) lost his life in a terrorist attack on Thursday in Srinagar's Lawaypora area which is on the outskirts of the city. As per the latest update, three jawans have been admitted to nearby hospital and are said to be critically injured. IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar told news agency ANI that LeT was involved in the attack.

As per the latest update, at least three jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured in a terrorist attack on Thursday in Srinagar's Lawaypora area which is on the outskirts of the city.

Airlines May Ban 15 Passengers For 3 Months For Violating Covid Norms

Fifteen passengers, who were found violating COVID-19 norms on domestic flights of three airlines this month, may be banned for three months by the carriers, senior officials of aviation regulator DGCA said on Wednesday.


The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had on March 13 asked airlines to de-board passengers who do not wear their masks "properly" despite repeated warnings and take action against them as per its rules.

India delays export on Covaxin

AstraZeneca coronavirus shot made by the Serum Institute of India (SII), the world’s biggest vaccine-maker, to meet domestic demand as infections rise. The move will also affect supplies to the GAVI/WHO-backed global COVAX vaccine-sharing facility, through which 64 lower-income countries are supposed to get doses from SII, the programme’s procurement and distributing partner UNICEF said.

An encounter between the Delhi Police and the miscreants took place in the Pragati Maidan area in the wee hours of Thursday morning. Police have arrested two infamous miscreants after both were shot in the encounter. The police got information from their source that miscreant Rohit Choudhary will reach the Bhairon Temple Road with his accomplice, so the officers laid a trap to catch him.
