Opposition To Meet President Murmu

VHP To Hold Protest In Noida
The right-wing organisation, Vishwa Hindu Parishad will on Wednesday hold a "major demonstration" in Uttar Pradesh's Noida to protest against the communal violence in Haryana. The demonstration in being planned at a time when restrictions under CrPC section 144 are placed in the Gautam Budh Nagar district. VHP's publicity chief Rahul Dubey said the protest march would start from the Noida stadium in Sector 21A towards Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16, where an effigy would be burnt, as per a PTI report.
GST Council To Finalise Modalities For Taxing Online Games, Casinos
The GST council will on Wednesday will hold a meeting to finalise the modalities for determination of supply value in online gaming and casinos for levying 28 per cent tax, according to PTI. The Council, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and comprising state ministers, in its last meeting on July 11 approved levying 28 per cent tax on full face value of bets in online gaming, casinos and horse racing.
