PM Modi Meets US Defence Secretary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met United State Defence Secretary Llyod Austin. During the interaction PM Modi conveyed his best wishes to US President Joe Biden and said that both India and US are comitted to strategic partnership that is a force for global good.

Mamata Attacks BJP In East Midnapore Rally

While speaking at a rally in West Bengal's East Midnapore, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party and said asked peopel to bid farewell to the saffron party. "We don't want BJP. We don't want to see Modi's face. We don't want riots, looters, Duryodhan, Dushasana, Mir Jafar in our state," she said.

Welcome to the ABP News LIVE for Friday, March 19, 2021: After Maharashtra recorded the highest single-day surge ever since the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in the country in March last year, the situation may turn grimmer and the state may touch three lakh active cases in the first week of April according to Health Secretary Pradeep Vyas said.


After the newly elected Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat gave a controversial remark it created a furore among the Netizens with Bollywood celebrities and opposition leaders slamming Rawat for judging women for wearing the choice of their clothes. While the country is demanding an apology from the Uttarakhand Chief Minister, his wife defended his statement on Thursday, saying his words were not being presented in full context.


Mansukh Hiren case investigation by Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is being bolstered by Mumbai, Thane, and New Mumbai police. All the police forces have aggregated all their technical and human resources and are working in tandem to crack this murder case. 


More than 20 teams are following the leads. 100s of people have been examined in this connection. 


Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be in Assam to the campaign. He will interact with college students at Lahowal, Dibrugarh. He will then meet tea garden workers in Dinjoy Tea Estate in Chabua and have a public meeting in Tinsukia.

Suryakumar Yadav smashed his maiden T20 International half-century in his first international inning in the fourth match against England. Suryakumar got to his half-century in 28 deliveries and finished with 57 off 31 deliveries as India were put in to bat first. He didn't get a chance to bat on his T20I debut, which came in the second game of the series, but on Thursday, he started to make the most of his opportunity right from the first delivery as he smashed Jofra Archer for an improvised hook off his first delivery in international cricket.
