A fire broke out in a factory in the Peera Garhi area of Udyog Nagar in Delhi early morning on Thursday. Union minister Ashwini Choubey visited the site to inspect the restoration work and rescue operations of the derailed Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express in Raghunathpur Bihar's Buxar. While speaking to the media he said that Union Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is continuously monitoring the situation. Choubey further added that the rescue operations were carried out smoothly.
Choubey further said, "It is a terrifying scene. I thank the local people for their support in the rescue operation... Thousands of people left all their work and came here to help... As soon as I received the news, I informed all the departments from the railway ministry to the PMO. The rescue operation began and the hospitals were informed to be prepared for the injured... The injured persons are under treatment and are out of danger. We are trying to restore the operations and the inquiry is underway."
Rescue operations are ongoing in Bihar's Buxar district where six coaches of the Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express derailed killing 4 and injuring 70 others. Tarun Prakash, AGM (East Central Railway) said that the investigation was still to find the cause behind the incident.

Batla House Encounter: Delhi HC To Pronounce Verdict On Death Penalty Of Ariz Khan Today
The Delhi High Court will rule on Thursday whether to confirm Ariz Khan's death sentence, which was imposed following his conviction in the sensational 2008 Batla House encounter case, in which decorated Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma was killed.
A bench of Justices Siddharth Mridul and Amit Sharma will issue the order.
The court will also rule on Khan's appeal against the trial court verdict, which stated that his crime was "rarest of the rare," warranting the maximum sentence and that he be "hanged by the neck" until death. (PTI Input)
Bengal CM Mamata To Virtually Inaugurate Durga Pujas, Will Hold Cabinet Meet At Home:
An official said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is recovering from a leg injury, will virtually inaugurate six Durga Puja pandals here and over 830 in the districts on Thursday, PTI reported.
Banerjee will virtually inaugurate Sreebhumi Sporting, Tala Prattoy, Hatibagan Sarbojanin Durgotsav, and Ahiritola Sarbojanin Durgotsab Samity puja pandals, among others, in the state capital, according to the report.
He also stated that she will inaugurate 57 Durga Puja pandals in North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas (50), Howrah (50), Nadia (35), Murshidabad (31), Purba Bardhaman (37), Paschim Bardhaman (32), Hooghly (37) and Purba Medinipur (39).
The CM also plans to virtually inaugurate puja pandals in the districts of Jhargram, Paschim Medinipore, Bankura, Purulia, Malda, Dakshin Dinajpur, Uttar Dinajpur, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, and Cooch Behar.
Banerjee, who has been prescribed "restricted movement", will chair a cabinet meeting at her Kalighat residence on Thursday, the report said.
PM Modi To Visit Uttarakhand's Kumaon Today:
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi travels from the Naini Saini airport to a public meeting venue here on Thursday, cultural troupes from Uttarakhand's Kumaon region will greet him at various points along a renovated 6-kilometer road decorated with murals and paintings.
Modi's visit will begin with a visit to Adi Kailash peak, Lord Shiva's abode, in Jolingkong, from which he will travel to Gunji village. According to an itinerary released by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), he will meet with locals and security personnel.
He will then offer prayers to lord Shiva at the Jageshwar Dham and address a public meeting in Pithoragarh. "The prime minister will gift various development projects to the region during his visit. It will give a new identity to the Adi Kailash tourism circuit," Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in a post on Facebook.
