Delhi-NCR Schools Receive Bomb Threats, Special Cell Initiates FIR Against Unknown Suspects

In Bomb threat to several schools in Delhi-NCR; the Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered an FIR against unknown people under section 120B, 506 of IPC. The Counter Intelligence Team Special Cell to launch an investigation. IFSO unit is also trying to find out the origin from where the mail was sent, till now the connection to Russia (IP address) has been revealed. As per the investigation, it appears to be part of a larger conspiracy. The investigating agency is also probing the angle of a joint conspiracy between China and ISI, as confirmed by Delhi Police Sources.

Breaking News LIVE: Search Operation To Track Down Terrorist Groups Extends To J&K's Kathua

Security agencies have widened the ambit of the search operation to Kathua district to track down two groups of terrorists involved in the killing of a village defence guard in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district.


A village defence guard (VDG) was killed in a brief encounter with terrorists in remote Panara village in Chochru Gala heights early Sunday, following which a hunt was launched jointly by the police, army, and CRPF.


The search operation, which entered the fourth day on Wednesday, is ongoing in Basantgarh, Bani and Seoj areas of Udhampur and Kathua districts, officials said, adding there has been no fresh contact with the fleeing terrorists.


As per sources, the movement of one group has been reported in the upper reaches of Udhampur district while the other group is seen to have moved towards Bani, Daggar and Kindli areas of Kathua district. (PTI Input)


 

Breaking News LIVE: Man Injured As Plaster Of Ceiling Falls

A 21-year-old man was injured after the plaster of the ceiling of his flat in Thane city of Maharashtra collapsed on him, a civic official said here on Wednesday.


The incident occurred in a 50-year-old three-storey building in Kopri area of the city around 11.30 pm on Tuesday.


"The resident, Aniket Murtudkar, received minor injuries to his leg in the plaster collapse incident. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated," chief of the disaster management cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) Yasin Tadvi said.


The occupants of the affected flat have been shifted elsewhere, he said, adding that the columns of the building have also developed cracks.


There are 22 flats in the building and the civic officials will examine its condition on Wednesday to decide further course of action, Tadvi said. (PTI Input)

Bomb Threat In Delhi Schools: Delhi LG Assures Culprits Won't Be Spared As AAP Alleges 'Weird Connection'

Following a series of bomb threats targetting in Delhi-NCR, Delhi Governor VK Saxena assured that the “culprits won’t be spared”. Indicating a “weird connection” between the threats and an X post by a BJP spokesperson, Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the development comes just a day after the saffron party’s spokesperson mentioned a “bomb threat” in his post. However, the Delhi Police said nothing had been found in these schools, and the whole episode appeared to be a hoax.

President Droupadi Mumru will visit Ayodhya on Wednesday to pay obeisance at the Ram temple, the Rashtrapati Bhavan has said. It will be her first visit to the newly built temple, the consecration ceremony for which was held on January 22. The president will visit Ayodhya on May 1, the statement said on Tuesday. During her stay in Ayodhya, the president will make 'darshan' and 'aarti' at the Shri Hanuman Garhi Temple, Prabhu Shri Ram Temple, and Kuber Teela, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.     She will also perform Saryu puja and 'aarti', it added.


Air India Extends Suspension Of Tel Aviv flights Till May 15


Air India on Tuesday said it has extended the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv till May 15 amid tensions in the Middle East.On April 19, the airline said Tel Aviv flights will remain suspended till April 30. It operates four weekly flights between the national capital and the Israeli city.In view of the ongoing situation in parts of the Middle East, Air India said it has extended the temporary suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv to May 15.


We are continuously monitoring the situation and are extending support to our passengers who have confirmed bookings for travel to and from Tel Aviv during this period, with a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges, the airline said in a statement.Tensions remain high in the Middle East due to the conflict between Israel and the Hamas group.After nearly five months, the Tata group-owned carrier had recommenced the services to the Israeli city on March 3.Air India had suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv starting on October 7, 2023, after the Hamas group's attack on the Israeli city.
