T20 World Cup: India-Pakistan Faceoff At Melbourne Cricket Ground
India and Pakistan set to renew the greatest rivalry in the cricket world yet again when they face off against each other at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) to begin their 2022 T20 World Cup Group 2 campaign on Sunday.
While India have all the players available for selection, Pakistan have been given a sigh of relief with Shan Masood available after being hit on the head in Friday’s practice session though Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out due to him still recovering from a knee injury.
Rahul Gandhi-Led ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ To Enter Telangana
Congress' 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', led by senior party leader Rahul Gandhi, will enter Telangana's Gudebellur village on October 23. The yatra is presently in Karnataka. Telangana Congress has made grand arrangements to welcome Rahul’s marathon walk at the entry point on the Karnataka-Telangana border. After breakfast at Gudebellur, the Yatra will take a three-day break from October 23 noon till October 26. It will resume in the morning on October 27 after Diwali celebrations.
Telangana leg of the yatra will cover 19 assembly and seven Parliamentary constituencies over a period of 16 days before entering Maharashtra on November 7. Rahul will be holding meetings and will participate in a meet at Necklace Road during a one-day halt at Boinapally.
PM Modi To Visit Ayodhya To Take Part In Deepotsav Celebrations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday to participate in Deepotsav at Ram Ji Ki Paidi on the eve of Diwali. More than 15 lakh diyas will be lit on the occasion. Five animated tableau and eleven Ramleela tableau with different dance forms from various states will also be put up.
According to the PMO, the sixth edition of Deepotsav is being held this year, and it is for the first time that the Prime Minister will be participating in-person in the celebrations.
