According to a statement on its official website, the national-level award is based on an IT-enabled assessment of WASH infrastructure, hygienic practices, and COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. The awards were given to both rural and urban government schools, as well as government-aided and private schools.

PM Modi To Inaugurate Arunachal's First Airport On Saturday


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday and inaugurate the state's first airport near Itanagar. The Donyi Polo airport is located at Hollongi and will boost connectivity, trade and tourism in the north eastern state.


Modi will inaugurate the greenfield airport at 9.30 am on Saturday and leave for Varanasi and Gujarat from there. 


He will also dedicate the 600 MW Kameng hydro power station in West Kameng district to the nation at the function.


The Donyi Polo airport has been developed by the Airports Authority of India at an estimated cost of Rs 645 crore. It will have eight check-in counters and can accommodate 200 passengers during peak hours.


PM Modi To Inaugurate Month-Long 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam' In Varanasi


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a month-long programme, 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam', on November 19 in Varanasi to rediscover, reaffirm and celebrate age-old links between Tamil Nadu and Kashi – two of the country's most important and ancient seats of learning, PTI reported.


The programme is being organised by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with other ministries like culture, textiles, railways, tourism, food processing, information and broadcasting, and the Uttar Pradesh government.


The inauguration ceremony will witness various cultural performances such as vocal rendition by Ilaiyaraaja and book releases.


India International Trade Fair To Open To Public


The India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan here, which started from November 14, will be open for the general public from Saturday.


The trade fair was open exclusively for business visitors for the first five days.


"The timings of the fair from are 10.00 am to 7.30 pm and on November 27 it will be 10.00 am to 4.30 pm," the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) said in the statement on Friday.


Free Entry To All ASI-Protected Monuments In Agra On Nov 19


Entry for tourists will be free at all Archaeological Survey of India-protected monuments here on Saturday to mark the commencement of the World Heritage Week. The World Heritage Week is celebrated every year from November 19 to 25.


"Tourists -- Indian and foreign nationals -- will get free entry at Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and other ASI-protected monuments on November 19," ASI's Superintending Archaeologist (Agra circle) Raj Kumar Patel said.


"The entrance to the Taj Mahal is free, but tourists would have to buy a ticket of Rs 200 to visit the main mausoleum inside the monument," he said.
