Four persons along with their two-wheelers and two black bags have been apprehended from Jharera flyover, NH-48 by the beat staff of PP Subroto Park, PS Delhi Cantt. Cash amounting to Rs 3 crores has been recovered from their possession, with initial suspicion of hawala money but investigation has been started. 
The apprehended persons are Mohd Shomeen, Jishan, Danish, and Santosh. On enquiry, the above persons termed the recovered amount as hawala money belonging to one Mohd. Vakil Malik who works as a scrap dealer in Shahdara. Russian To Observe National Mourning Day After Moscow Attack 



Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the attack on a concert hall, which claimed the lives of over 100 individuals, as a "barbaric terrorist act" and declared a national day of mourning on Saturday, AFP reported. In a televised address to the nation, Putin expressed his outrage, stating, "I am speaking to you today in connection with the bloody, barbaric terrorist act, the victims of which were dozens of innocent, peaceful people. ... I declare 24 March a day of national mourning."


Additionally, President Putin announced that the four gunmen responsible for the attack had been apprehended and assured harsh retribution for all involved in plotting the assault. According to AFP, he affirmed, "All four perpetrators of the terrorist act who shot and killed people have been detained. They were travelling towards Ukraine ... We will identify and punish everybody who stood behind the terrorists, who prepared the attack."



JNUSU Poll Results To Be Announced Sunday


The results of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union election will be announced at 9 pm on Sunday. Polling for the four-member central panel and other posts was done on Friday. The results will be announced by the election committee of the varsity. There are 19 candidates vying for the four central panel posts of JNUSU and 42 candidates for school councillors, with seven candidates eyeing the post of president alone. The central panel constitutes the posts of President, Vice President, Joint Secretary and General Secretary. Currently, the counting of votes is underway with trends betraying no clear winners.


From the United Left alliance, Dhananjay from All India Students Association (AISA), Avijit Ghosh from Students Federation of India (SFI) and Md Sajid from All India Students Federation (AISF) are headed for a win in the central panel. The candidature of the Left's fourth contender for the central panel, Swati Singh, was cancelled by the election committee hours before the polling. She has been on a hunger strike for over 32 hours now demanding re-nomination and re-election for the post of JNUSU general secretary.
