Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has consolidated its position in the Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency, the counting trend showed on Sunday.
After 11 rounds of counting, Nomula Bhagat of the TRS was leading by 9,034 votes over his nearest rival K. Jana Reddy of the Congress party.
The TRS candidate polled 38,924 votes while Jana Reddy secured 29,890 votes.
Shivpal Yadav's nephew Abhishek Yadav is currently ahead in Saifai-II Zila Panchayat seat. He is ahead by 1100 votes.

JMM leader and minister Hafeezul Hasan Ansari is leading by 4,076 votes over his nearest rival Ganga Narayan Singh of the BJP in the by-election to the Madhupur assembly constituency, an Election Commission official said.
Ansari polled 34,314 votes while his rival BJP candidate has to his credit 30,238 votes after the seventh round of counting, an EC spokesperson said.
The bypoll in Madhupur in Deoghar district, which took place on April 17, was necessitated by the death of former minister Haji Hussain Ansari, father of the JMM nominee, on October 3 last year.
Four Independent candidates - Ashok Kumar Thakur, Rajendra Kumar, Uttam Kumar Yadav and Kishan Kumar Bathwal - have polled 817, 739, 496, and 299 votes, respectively.
BJP's Nimisha Suthar gained a lead over her nearest Congress rival Suresh Katara in the bypoll to Morva Hadaf Assembly seat in Gujarat's Panchmahal district, as per initial trends of the counting on Sunday.
The bypoll, held on April 17, was necessitated after Independent MLA Bhupendrasinh Khant was disqualified in May 2019 for submitting an invalid caste certificate.
He eventually lost an appeal in the Gujarat High Court on the issue. Khant died due to health issues in January this year.
The constituency is reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
Out of 15,391 votes counted in the first four rounds, Suthar bagged 11,240 votes, while Katara was trailing with 3,547 votes, as per the Election Commission's website.
Independent candidate Sushilaben Maida has so far got 243 votes, it said.
Ruling BJP is leading in Belgaum Lok Sabha seat and Basavakalyan Assembly seat, while Opposition Congress is leading in Maski (reserved) Assembly seat in Karnataka where bypolls were held on April 17, a poll official said on Sunday.
"BJP's candidate Mangala Suresh Angadi is leading in Belgaum over Congress nominee Satish Jarkiholi, while BJP candidate Sharanu Salagar is leading in Basavakalyan over Mala B Narayanrao of Congress," the official told IANS.
In Maski (Scheduled Tribe), Basanagouda Turuvihal of Congress is leading over BJP's Pratapgouda Patil.
In the initial rounds of counting, Mangala secured 1,03,067 votes and Satish 94,092 votes in Belgaum, while in Basavakalyan, Salagar got 9,282 votes and Mala 4,848 votes.
In Maski, Turuvihal fetched 22,575 votes and Patil 14,709 votes.
Vote count began from 8am onwards in all the 3 constituencies amid tight security and under the Covid-induced safety guidelines to ensure social distancing and contain the virus spread.
"As per the procedure, postal ballots were counted first in all the 3 seats and votes in EVMs (electronic voting machines) are being counted in Belgaum, Basavakalyan and Maski," said the official.
Of 18,13,567 electorate in Belgaum, 10,16,025 voted, resulting in 56.02 per cent polling.
Of 2,39,782 electorate in Basavakalyan, 1,47,647 voted, resulting in 61.58 per cent polling.
Of 2,06,429 electorate in Maski, 1,45,458 voted, resulting in 70.40 per cent polling.
In all, 30 candidates, including 10 in Belgaum, 12 in Basavakalyan and 8 in Maski contested. Of them, 26 are men and 4 women.
There are also 5 Independents each in Belgaum and Maski and 4 in Basavakalyan.
Congress candidate Ajay Tandon was ahead of his nearest BJP rival Rahul Singh Lodhi by 700 votes after the first round of counting for the Damoh Assembly bypoll in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, an official said.
The bypoll was necessitated due to the resignation of sitting Congress MLA Rahul Lodhi, who later joined the BJP.
The counting of votes began at 8 am at the government polytechnic college in Damoh in adherence to the COVID-19 protocols, as per the Election Commission's directives, Damoh Collector and Returning Officer Tarun Rathi said.
So far, Tandon has bagged 2,823 votes, while Lodhi has got 2,123 votes, he said.
Victory processions are not allowed, he added.
About 60 per cent of the total registered voters exercised their franchise in the bypoll held on April 1

Twelve COVID-19 patients, including the head of the gastroenterology department, of Batra Hospital here died allegedly due to oxygen shortage, officials said on Saturday.
"Once a patient is pushed beyond the edge without the support of oxygen, it is very difficult to revive him as he is hanging in the balance. Unfortunately, we are expecting more fatalities," said Sudhanshu Bankata, the executive director of the hospital.
"In the next 24-48 hours, the death rate will be higher than the average we had over the past few days. All the patients, who were destabilised during the one hour and 20 minutes of oxygen not being there will also be compromised," he said.
R K Himthani, the head of the gastroenterology department, was among those who died due to lack of oxygen, said S C L Gupta, medical director of the hospital.
A little over a thousand people were inoculated in Mumbai on Saturday, even as people in the 18-44 age group became eligible to enroll themselves for the mass Covid-19 vaccination drive across the country. Inoculation drive for the new category was carried out in 26 districts of Maharashtra and it will begin in all 36 districts from Sunday, said an official release

Only over a thousand people were inoculated in Mumbai on Saturday, even as people in the 18-44 age group became eligible to enroll themselves for the mass Covid-19 vaccination drive across the country. Official data showed 1004 people in Mumbai got the jab, while the vaccination tally for Maharashtra’s 18-45 age group stood at 11,492.
Till April 30, only those above 45 were eligible to get Covid-19 vaccines. On Saturday, Pune topped among 26 districts with 1,316 receiving the jab in the above-18 group, followed by 1,004 in Mumbai. Gadchiroli (83) and Yavatmal (90) were at the bottom of the chart, data showed.
Counting of votes is being held in the high-stakes Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry assembly elections, overshadowed by the raging COVID pandemic, as the BJP seeks to consolidate its hold over more states and the Congress along with its allies attempts to regain lost turf. There will be 2,364 counting halls as compared to 1,002 halls in 2016 in 822 assemble constituencies, a more than 200 per cent increase, in view of the COVID guidelines, according to the Election Commission which had drawn flak from the courts over the conduct of polls during the pandemic.
