An aircraft carrying Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was rerouted to Jharsuguda on Monday, as it could not land at the Biju Patnaik International Airport due to bad weather, officials confirmed.
Accompanied by his close aide V K Pandian, Patnaik was aboard the aircraft returning to Bhubaneswar following an election meeting in Khariar, Nuapada district. As per Pandian's video message, the aircraft was unable to land in Bhubaneswar due to heavy rain and strong winds. After hovering over the capital city for approximately thirty minutes, it was rerouted to Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda.
Bombay High Court permitted interim medical bail to Jet Airways' founder Naresh Goyal for 2 months. Goyal is in jail in a money laundering case. He was granted bail for Rs 1 lakh. As per his application, he is suffering from Cancer and needs treatment for the same, ANI reported.

Two BDDS teams, along with one unit of C60 and one QAT of CRPF were deployed to search for explosives and claymore mines in the Tipagad area of Gadchiroli in Maharashtra. Today they found 6 pressure cookers filled with explosives and detonators and 3 claymore pipes filled with explosives and shrapnels were also found.
The remaining 3 claymore pipes were without any explosives. Teams also found gunpowder in a plastic bag, medicines and blankets at the same spot. A total of 9 IEDs and 3 claymore pipes were destroyed in situ by the BDDS team. The remaining materials have been burnt on the spot. Teams are on the way back cross country to the nearest outpost. The offence will be registered.

ED opposes Interim Bail To Jet Airways Founder Naresh Goyal; HC To Pass Order On May 6
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday opposed the interim medical bail sought by Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal in a money laundering case and said his stay at a private hospital could be extended for a month.Goyal has sought interim bail on medical and humanitarian grounds, citing that both he and his wife, Anita Goyal, suffered from cancer.On Friday, a single bench of Justice N J Jamadar said it would pass orders on May 6.A special court had in February refused bail to Goyal but permitted him to be admitted to a private hospital of his choice and seek medical treatment.Goyal had last week moved the high court seeking interim bail on merits and release on medical grounds.While Goyal's counsel, Harish Salve, urged the court to consider the case on humanitarian grounds, the ED's counsel, Hiten Venegaonkar, vehemently opposed the bail and said the probe agency did not have a problem if his hospitalisation was extended.Before closing the matter for orders, Justice Jamadar remarked that taking treatment without restraint would make a difference.
CISCE Class 10, 12 Results On Monday; Board To Discontinue Compartment Exams
The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will announce Class 10 and 12 board exam results on Monday, officials said.The ICSE (Class 10) and ICS (Class 12) will be announced on May 6 at 11 am, board's Chief Executive and Secretary Joseph Emmanuel said on Sunday. The results will be available on the board's website, the CAREERS portal and DigiLocker. The board has also decided to discontinue compartment exams for Classes 10 and 12 from this session.Candidates who wish to improve their marks or grades in the same year of examination may take improvement exams in a maximum of two subjects, Emmanuel added.The improvement exams will be conducted in July.
