PM Modi To Interact With 50k Farmers In Varanasi Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to engage with 50,000 farmers in Varanasi during his visit on June 18, as per the BJP's Kashi region chief Dilip Patel. At the Kisan meet in the Mehandiganj area, Modi will personally meet 21 farmers and review their agricultural products.
As per the IANS report, during his visit, PM Modi will release the 17th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi and then hold discussions with the farmers. This visit marks Modi's first to Varanasi since being sworn in for his third term.
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will honor 30,000 Krishi Sakhis, presenting certificates on stage to five women farmers from eastern Uttar Pradesh. After landing on Tuesday afternoon, the Prime Minister will address the meeting of farmers at Mehdiganj. Thereafter, he will leave for Kashi Vishwanath temple to offer prayers and attend Ganga aarti at Dashaswamedh ghat.

Tripura Cong Convenes Meeting To Decide On Alliance For Rural Polls
The Congress unit in Tripura has scheduled a meeting for June 18 to gather input from its leaders regarding the alliance with Left parties for the forthcoming three-tier panchayat elections in the state, according to a statement by a party MLA on Saturday.
The elections for zilla parishads, panchayat samitis, and gram panchayats in the northeastern state are slated for August.
"Tripura Pradesh Congress president Asish Saha has called for a meeting on June 18 to seek perspectives from party leaders on the alliance strategy for the upcoming panchayat elections," stated MLA Sudip Roy Barman, as reported by PTI.
