The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out searches at six different locations in Jammu province on Saturday as part of an ongoing investigation into a conspiracy backed by Pakistan aimed at instigating terror activities in the region. The searches were particularly concentrated in areas within the districts of Doda, Ramban, and Kishtwar in Jammu. During these extensive operations, the NIA teams successfully seized significant evidence, including digital devices, assorted documents, and other materials, from properties associated with individuals involved in hybrid terrorism, Overground Workers (OGWs), sympathizers, as well as members linked to the newly-formed branches and affiliates of banned terrorist organizations, ANI cites NIA reports.
DRI MZU officials apprehended a Brazilian citizen under suspicion of drug trafficking at Mumbai's CSMI Airport on May 8th. During interrogation, the individual confessed to swallowing capsules filled with drugs to smuggle them into India. Following a court directive, the suspect was transferred to Sir JJ Hospital in Mumbai. While hospitalized, the individual excreted 110 capsules containing 975 grams of cocaine, estimated at Rs. 9.75 Crores in the underground market, as confirmed by DRI officials, ANI quoted saying.

In two separate operations, police seized 1.2 kg of heroin worth Rs 7 crores in Assam's Cachar district, an official said. Police also apprehended three persons in connection with this.
Numal Mahatta, Superintendent of Police of Cachar district tells ANI, "The narcotics were seized in two separate operations at Dholai and Silchar area. Based on intelligence input, a team of Cachar district police launched an operation in Dholai area and recovered 55 soap cases containing heroin. In the second operation, police recovered 45 soap cases containing heroin in Silchar area."
Border Security Force (BSF) personnel opened fire on Friday night to shoot down a Pakistani drone near the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, officials said. Troops of the BSF detected the movement of the drone from the Pakistan side late in the night and fired nearly two dozen rounds. The drone, however, was flown back to the Pakistani side, the officials said. They said a search operation was launched in Narayanpur in the Ramgarh sector on Saturday morning to sanitize the border outpost area to ensure the drone did not drop any weapons or narcotics.

Kejriwal To Attend His First Roadshow In Delhi On Saturday
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Friday stated that he will participate in a roadshow in South Delhi on May 11 along with his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann.
Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court granted interim bail to the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) until June 1 in connection with a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.
Kejriwal's participation in the upcoming roadshow marks his first public appearance after his release from Tihar Jail on Friday. "There is a roadshow in South Delhi. I will participate in the roadshow with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann," he said, PTI reported.
PM Modi To Address Three Poll Rallies In Odisha On Saturday
PM Narendra Modi is to address three election rallies in Odisha on Saturday, a state BJP leader said.
Golak Mohapatra, the vice president of the Odisha BJP, announced that Modi will participate in a roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Friday. “On May 11, he will address three public rallies – the first in Kandhamal at 9.30 am, the second in Bolangir at 11.30 am and another in Bargarh at 1 pm,” he said, PTI quoted saying.
“The PM will also hold a roadshow in Bhubaneswar from 8 pm on Friday. He will stay the night at the Raj Bhavan,” Mohapatra also said.
The roadshow will start from the state headquarters of BJP near Sri Ram Mandir and it will end at Vani Vihar Square. Police confirmed that tight security arrangements have been made for the roadshow and the poll rallies.
Modi had previously visited Odisha on May 6, when he addressed two public meetings in Berhampur and Nabarangpur.
Simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections are slated to be held in Odisha in four phases, starting May 13.
