Vani Prasad, the Principal Secretary of Environment, Forest Science and Technology, chaired a meeting with senior officials and members of the World Wide Fund for Nature to discuss the arrangements for the statewide event.

During the meeting, Prasad appealed to individuals across the state to actively participate in Earth Hour, emphasising its significance in making a positive impact on the environment. YouTuber Elvish Yadav to be Transferred to Gurugram Jail

Controversial YouTuber Siddharth Yadav, known as Elvish Yadav, was granted bail by a Gautam Buddh Nagar court in a drugs case, six days after his arrest. Yadav, along with two associates, was arrested in connection with a probe into the suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug. The court ordered his release on bail, requiring him to furnish two bail bonds of Rs 50,000 each.

While the release order has been received by the prison authorities, Yadav will be transferred to a court in Gurugram on Saturday, where he is to be produced in an assault case involving another content creator. The court hearing is scheduled for March 27. Yadav's arrest had sparked public interest and speculation, with the case involving multiple charges under various legal provisions.

Yadav was among the accused named in an FIR lodged last year, concerning the suspected use of snake venom at parties he hosted. While Yadav's associates were also granted bail, the investigation into his alleged involvement in the case continues. The case, which initially involved charges under the Wildlife Protection Act and IPC sections, has since seen the addition of charges under the NDPS Act.
