New Delhi: The suspect in the shooting at a subway station in New York, USA, has been arrested on Wednesday by officers in New York's East Village neighborhood, three law enforcement officials told CNN.
A man was needed in an assault on a subway train in Brooklyn that left 10 individuals injured by gunfire.
Frank James, 62, was arrested in Manhattan, the authority said. Further details, including the capturing agency, weren't quickly accessible.
Investigators had reported Tuesday evening that they were looking for James, who was believed to have leased a van potentially associated with the crime. By Wednesday morning, New York authorities said he was a suspect in the actual shooting.
James is associated with setting off smoke projectiles and shooting a handgun multiple times on a packed metro train advancing to the 36th Street station in Brooklyn's Sunset Park area. The assault left 29 individuals harmed, including 10 who were shot, however, none of the wounds give off an impression of being hazardous, authorities said. Five of the casualties were youngsters commuting to school, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said, as reported by CNN.

Authorities were looking at social media videos in which the 62-year-old denounced the U.S. as a bigoted spot flooded with violence and railed all over New York City's mayor, Eric Adams.
