Mumbai: On Sunday, a bomb was reported at the Maharashtra Assembly Secretariat in Mumbai. On receiving the information from the control room, the bomb disposal squad of Mumbai Police rushed to the spot and started investigation. According to the police, Prima facie, it seems to be a hoax call.


According to the information, a man identified as Sagar from Nagpur called at 12.40 PM on Sunday afternoon and informed about the bomb. Soon, the bomb disposal squad came into action and launched a probe into the matter after the information about the bomb in the ministry.

Mumbai Police PRO said that no such suspicious item related to the bomb has been found so far. An offence has been registered against a person who made a hoax call about a bomb at Mantralaya, at Marine Drive Police Station under section 182, 505(1)(b), 506 IPC. 



Meanwhile, security has been beefed up at the Mantralaya building in view of the bomb threat call received by the Disaster Management Control Room. Further inquiry is being conducted.
