New Delhi: After a massive victory in the assembly elections of four states, the BJP Parliamentary Board on Monday has appointed Central Observers and Co-Observers for the election of the Leader of the Legislature Party in the Legislative Assemblies of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa.
The names of Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are also included in the list of observers, as reported by news agency ANI.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the central observer for the appointment of the head of the legislative party in Uttar Pradesh, while former Uttarkhand CM Raghubar Das is the co-observer.
Rajnath Singh has been made the central observer for Uttarkhand, while MoS Meenakshi Lekhi is the co-observer.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been given the responsibility of Manipur, while Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has been made the co-observer.
Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been named as the central observer for Goa, while MoS L Murugan has been made the co-observer.
BJP has performed well in all the states except Punjab. In UP, Manipur, Uttarakhand, where BJP is going to form the government with a majority, in Goa, the party has claimed to form the government by getting the support of other MLAs.
Talking about Uttar Pradesh, out of 403 seats in the state, BJP won 255 seats. In Uttarakhand, BJP won 47 out of 70 seats. At the same time, in Goa elections, 20 out of 40 seats were registered in the name of BJP and out of 60 seats in Manipur, BJP won 32 seats. At the same time, BJP got only 2 seats in Punjab.
