Bengaluru: With the coronavirus infections rising rapidly and showing no abating signs, Karnataka capital Bengaluru reported 20,870 Covid-positive cases and 132 deaths out of the state’s total count of 44,632 fresh infections and an all-time high of 292 deaths. Earlier on Monday, the Covid-19 positivity rate in the country’s IT capital touched an all-time high of 55% and the active cases crossed the three-lakh mark.

There was, however, some improvement on Tuesday as compared to a day earlier with the positivity rate reporting to be 33%.

This came as several small hospitals reported oxygen shortage and the major hospitals turned away critical patients due to lack of beds.
