New Delhi: Following the great success of the V15 bike in the Indian market, Bajaj Auto is likely to launch some more bikes under “V” series.  The new V range will most probably include the V20 and V40 bikes. The upcoming Bajaj V20 is expected to feature a 200cc engine and the V40 to get a 400cc engine.

Bajaj Auto’s Managing Director, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj said, “The next bike on the V's platform would be launched around November this year, while the third product on the same platform would follow in May or June 2017.”

Reports suggest that Bajaj is working hard on V20 and V40 models with the aim of gaining from the expanded lineup of commuter motorcycles under the V lineup. The new V bikes will be obviously based on the V15 and Bajaj might use the scrap metal of INS Vikrant for these new bikes too.

Bajaj V15 was launched earlier this year in March. Since its launch, the V15 gained significant sales numbers boosting Bajaj to expand the bikes under the V lineup series. The highlight feature of V15 is that the bike has been made from the metal of the dismantled INS Vikrant, India's first aircraft carrier.
