MG Motor India has launched MG Hector facelift with additional features that have been incorporated after taking the feedback from customers and automotive experts.  The new facelifted Hector has 18-inch alloy wheels while cosmetic updates include revised grille, new alloy wheel design and dual-tone upholstery, 1.5 turbo-petrol, 1.5 petrol hybrid and 2.0 diesel engine options to be carried forward. Some of the notable changes to the exterior include a tweaked grille and new design alloy wheels that are larger than earlier, 18-inches as against the previous 17-inch units. As per the automobile website Autocar India, the Hector will be available with three engine options – a 143hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, a 143hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol hybrid and a 170hp 2.0-litre diesel engine.

There are also new Hinglish voice commands to carry out various functions. This is the first time the Hello MG feature will catch the inputs to Hindi voice commands in India. Until now, ‘Hello MG’ responded only to the English language.  The outgoing model’s all-black theme from inside has been replaced with a new dual-tone which is expected to improve cabin ambience. In terms of cabin design, little has been changed from the current model on sale, though expect the updated SUV to pack in some additional features. A 6-speed manual gearbox will continue to be standard across the engine options and, as before, the standard turbo-petrol will get the option of a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.
