Assembly elections in five states - West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry - are set to commence from March 27 while the results for all the states will be announced on May 2. As the assembly elections are approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday released the candidate list for various phases across several constituencies in the poll-bound states.

BJP Candidates List For Tamil Nadu Elections


BJP national general secretary Arun Singh in a press conference today announced that the saffron party in Tamil Nadu will contest as NDA partner in 20 Assembly constituencies spread across all regions of the state. State president L Murugan will contest from Dharapuram while senior leader H Raja will contest from Karaikudi.

BJP Candidates List For Kerala Elections


In Kerala, BJP will be contesting 115 seats and the rest of 25 seats will be left for 4 parties. State BJP chief K Surendran will contest from two constituencies - from Manjeshwar in Kasaragod & Konni in Pathanamthitta, Dr E Sreedharan will contest from Palakkad Assembly constituency, former state BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan will be contesting from Nemom seat, KJ Alphons will contest from Kanjirappally,  Suresh Gopi will contest from Thrissur, Dr Abdul Salam will be contesting from Tirur seat and Former DGP Jacob Thomas will contest from Irinjalakuda.

BJP Candidates List For Assam Elections


In Assam, BJP will contest on 92 seats while the partner parties will fight on rest of the seats. The saffron party today released the names of 17 candidates for the third phase of elections. Chandra Mohan Patowary will contest from Dharmapur seat.

BJP Candidates List For West Bengal Elections


BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh while making the announcements today, released the names of 27 candidates for 3rd phase & 38 candidates for 4th phase of polls in West Bengal. Economist Ashok Lahiri will contest from Alipurduar, Rajib Banerjee from Domjur, & Rabindranath Bhattacharya from Singur. Swapan Das Gupta will contest from Tarakeswar Assembly seat, MP Nisith Pramanik from Dinhata, and Union Minister Babul Supriyo will contest from Tollygung Assembly seat. Actor Yash Das Gupta will contest from Chanditala.
