Hitting back at Delhi CM for his "Nobel Prize" remark, BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on Monday said that the AAP leader should get a Nobel Prize for corruption, lying and doing drama.

"Kitna badal gaya insaan... He is the same Arvind Kejriwal, who earlier used to say that first a person will have to resign and then an investigation will happen. But now he even refuses to cooperate with investigation agencies," Shehzad Poonawalla said on Monday.

"He should get the Nobel Prize in the areas of corruption, lying and doing drama," he added.

The BJP leader was attacking Kejriwal who said he should get a Nobel Prize for running the government in Delhi as the BJP is allegedly preventing his government from doing developmental works.

"They (the BJP) tried to stop the construction of schools and hospitals in Delhi. They do not want the poor to get the same level of education as their children. They tried to stop hospitals. Only I know, how am I running the government in Delhi, I should get a Nobel prize for this," Kejriwal had said while attacking BJP on Sunday.

The BJP also alleged that under Kejriwal the debt of Delhi Jal Board increased from Rs 20,000 crore to Rs 80,000 crore.

"Delhi Jal Board was in debt of Rs 20,000 crores, but by 2023, the debt increased to Rs 80,000 crores. The control of the Delhi Jal Board has either been with him or with his nearest people like Raghav Chaddha and Saurabh Bharadwaj," Shehzad Poonawalla said.

"Delhi Jal Board is still at a loss because using Delhi Jal Board as the medium, various government contracts were being allotted to their contractors at inflated costs... This was a sophisticated one-time super scam scheme," he added.

The BJP also took a sharp dig at Arvind Kejriwal and called him “Bhagoda no 1″ after he skipped the 7th Enforcement Directorate summons for questioning in the excise policy case.

The probe agency had last week issued the seventh summons to Kejriwal and asked him to appear for questioning on February 26 in connection with the alleged Delhi excise policy scam-linked money laundering probe. However, the Delhi CM skipped the summons and his party said that the ED should wait for a court order.

Kejriwal has skipped all the summonses so far, terming them illegal. He had also written to the ED seeking their withdrawal.
