Andhra Pradesh's ruling YSR Congress Party launched a massive public outreach campaign "Jagananne Maa Bhavishyathu" on Friday as a part of its preparedness for the 2024 general elections. The campaign, which will be held from April 7-20, is aimed at explaining to the five crore population in the state about what the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has done in the last four years.

The 14-day campaign aims to reach out to over 1.65 crore houses in Andhra Pradesh. Seven lakh secretariat conveners will conduct a door-to-door campaign to cover the five crore population in the state and explain to the people the development achieved by the YSRCP government since it came to power in Andhra Pradesh in 2019.

On Thursday, YSRCP general secretary and state government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy claimed that it was the most extensive and on-the-ground campaign run by any political party in the nation.

The party workers were in contact with their regional coordinators as well as MLAs for the last three to four months and were tained on how to conduct effective public outreach, Reddy said.

During the campaign, the YSRCP representatives will display a pamphlet to people and explain the contrast between the YSRCP and TDP governments. They will also ask five survey questions for feedback.

At the end of the survey, the party workers will request the public to give a missed call to a dedicated mobile number 8296082960. As soon as they give a missed call, a voice call from Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be received by the caller as a token of thanks.

On Thursday, CM Reddy launched the 'Family Doctor' scheme at Lingamguntla in Palnadu district. Reddy said that the family doctor concept would be a role model for the country and was a novel initiative in the field of medical services.

The CM said that this concept was a great opportunity to provide free medication to the poor. "Through this scheme, we will provide medical services at home in the village. We will also ensure treatment at home for bedridden patients," he said.
