Hyderabad: Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a Jagananna Smart Township Website on Tuesday from the Tadepalli camp office.


Speaking on occasion, CM Jagan said that the government aims to provide a home for every poor person. He said that the government aims to distribute 30 lakh housing deeds across the state. He said the construction of houses for the poor has already started. In the first phase, the construction of 15.60 lakh houses has started, and work is underway. 


CM Jagan said the dream of owning a house for middle-class people would be fulfilled with this scheme. Plots of 150, 200, and 240 square yards have been prepared, complete with the essential housing permits and facilities, following town planning department requirements.


CM Jagan said it was launched to provide no-dispute plots to middle-class people lower than the market price.


The first phase will start from Dharmavaram in Anantapur district, Navalur in Mangalagiri zone of Guntur district, Rayachoti in Kadapa district, Kandukur in Prakasam district, Kavali in Nellore district and Eluru in West Godavari district. Applications are invited online from Tuesday.


Jagan said that the scheme would be extended to every constituency in the future. He said the plots were prepared in three categories as per the demand with all the permits and permissions. 


CM Jagan said housing would be allotted only to those with an annual income of less than Rs 18 lakh.


The plots can be applied to on the website migapdtcp.ap.gov.in. Jagan assured that the allocation of plots would be done in a highly transparent manner. He said the price of the plot could be paid in four installments.


Jagan said that the government would do the lay-outs with a clear title deed without legal issues. He said that 50 per cent of the total layout space was earmarked for infrastructure and social needs in a completely eco-friendly manner. Facilities include wide 60-foot BT roads, 40-foot CC roads, footpaths with colored tiles, drinking water supply, underground drainage system, flood water drains, full electrification, street lighting.
