Hyderabad: The Tollywood actor and former Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Tadepalli CM camp office on Thursday.


On his way back after an hour-long meeting with Chief Minister Jagan, Chiranjeevi spoke to the media at the Vijayawada airport. According to a report in ABP Desam, he said that the meeting with CM Jagan was satisfactory.


Chiranjeevi said that there had been a lot of speculation on movie ticket prices for a few days now. An impassable situation has arisen. He is hopeful that the AP government will release a new Government Order in a week or ten days on the issue of movie ticket rates.

Chiranjeevi clarified that the film industry is not as glamorous as it looks on the surface. He reminded that there is an uncertain atmosphere in the industry, and many workers suffer because of Covid lockdown. In addition, ticket prices and other issues have made the situation more pronounced over the past few months.


Chiranjeevi said that Jagan had said that a meeting would be called with the representatives of the Film Chamber and the exhibitors. He called on everyone to exercise restraint as the issue is likely to be resolved. 


The actor said that the decision to make entertainment accessible to the poor was good. "Congratulations to Jagan in this regard," he said as quoted by ABP Desam.
