New Delhi: Within hours of BJP Chief Amit Shah’s OROP jibe at Congress party, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference chief Omar Abdullah sniped back at him with yet another acronym ‘ODOMOS’.

Abdullah’s banter comes after Shah   came out with a new full form of OROP to target Congress on Priyanka’s political plunge. The BJP chief had said expansion of OROP (originally, One Rank One Pension) for congress is ‘Only Rahul Only Priyanka’. Soon after his swipe, NC Chief Abdullah came up with ODOMOS- overdose (of) only Modi only Shah.

“While the rest of the country suffers from too much ODOMOS – overdose (of) only Modi only Shah,” Abdullah tweeted

On Monday during a public rally in Himachal Pradesh’s Una, Shah had said that Within one year, BJP government delivered on his promise on One rank one pension (OROP).  He said that PM Modi gave OROP to army jawans, Congress gave ‘only Rahul only Priyanka’.

Shah said that in the five years of previous Congress government in the state , nobody but the “raja, rani and rajkumar” were given importance in the state, in an indirect attack on former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his family members.

No one cared for soldiers for over 70 years, he said, adding when the Modi government came to power, it implemented the OROP.

Addressing BJP workers ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Shah said, "Desh ek Majboot Sarkar chahta hai, majboor sarkar nahi. (The country wants a strong government not a weak and hapless one)."

The country wants a government which can give Pakistan a befitting reply for killing its soldiers, he said.

"In his speeches, the Congress president nowadays brings up the issue of poverty. I just want to ask Rahul baba what the Congress governments did for decades to eradicate poverty. It's only the BJP government which is taking measures to eradicate it," he added.

They couldn't provide even a gas cylinder to each household in the country, he said.

About a year ago, Congress president Rahul Gandhi had expanded GST as the “Gabbar Singh Tax”.
