New Delhi: Cricketer Yuvraj Singh's father, Yograj Singh has created a stir on social media after he made controversial statements during the ongoing farmers' protest. Netizens have taken offence to his comments and now#ArrestYograjSingh is now trending on Twiter. A video of Singh addressing farmers surfaced on social media in which he made objectionable comments about 'Hindus' calling them traitors. He has even talked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Gujaratis. Alleging that he is 'anti-hindu' netizens are now calling for his immediate arrest.

Netizens have also taken objection to his comments about Hindu women and say that his statements are unwarranted and have hurt the sentiments of people. The incident has also fuelled speculations about the farmers' protest as many netizens have raised questions about it and say that Khalistani sympatisers are supporting the protests.






Singh who is known for courting controversy had earlier lashed out against former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni after his son Yuvraj could not find a spot in Team India.

So far several rounds of talks with the government have failed and today the farmers at the Singhu border left for Vigyan Bhawan to hold the 5th round of talks with the govt. PM Modi is holding a meeting with HM Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. Farmers have said that after today they will not hold any talks with the centre. Meanwhile, Union minister of state for agriculture Kailash Choudhary said, 'Farmers' doubts will be cleared in today’s meeting with Centre. In recent meetings, some issues were clarified. It's the Opposition's politics, they're instigating the protest. The meeting will be fruitful & we expect farmers will roll back protest.'
