The ’Tanu Weds Manu’ actress is currently shooting for her upcoming film ‘Thalaivi’ which is a biopic of the late political leader J. Jayalalithaa. As December 5 marks the 4th death anniversary of this great personality, Kangana took to her Twitter and paid a tribute to the politician with some stills from her upcoming movie.

Sharing the pictures, she wrote, “On the death anniversary of Jaya Amma, sharing some working stills from our film Thalaivi- the revolutionary leader. All thanks to my team, especially the leader of our team Vijay sir who is working like a super human to complete the film, just one more week to go”

Helmed by AL Vijay, ‘Thalaivi’ has been written by 'Bahubali' and 'Manikarnika' writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and 'The Dirty Picture' and 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai' writer Rajat Arora.

The movie was scheduled to hit theatres on June 26, 2020, but could not see the light of the day owing to the shuttering of movie halls due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut has been trending on social media since yesterday, owing to her Twitter war with Diljit Dosanjh. The 'Good Newwz' star criticized Kangana for misidentifying an elderly Sikh woman, who took part in the farmers' protest, as Bilkis Bano of Shaheen Bagh. Diljit called out the 'Panga' actress for posting on the farmers' protest against the farm bills without verifying facts. Their feud on social media turned ugly after the 'Queen' star called the singer Karan Johar's 'pet'.
