New Delhi: Popular Kollywood actor Thalapathy Vijay on Wednesday met Telangana CM Chandrashekar Rao. The meeting has received a lot of attention in the political world of Telangana. Speculations are rife that the actor is all set to join the Chandrashekar Rao-led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party. The photos and videos of Vijay meeting Chandrasekhar Rao are going viral on the internet. The meeting was held at Pragati Bhavan, the official residence of the Chief Minister. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader congratulated the actor with a shawl, according to a release from the CMO.
The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) described it as a courtesy call. In any case, the actor's sudden meeting with KCR set off rumors in political corridors.
Vijay, who has an enormous fan following, is reported to be planning to enter politics. Then again, KCR announced that he will play a key role in national politics.
At the TRS plenary last month, KCR alluded to drifting a national party to work for an alternative national agenda. The TRS chief had expressed that he would work with like-minded parties and individuals.
Vamshi Paidipally, who is coordinating Vijay in "Thalapathy 66" and TRS MP and KCR's relative J. Santosh Kumar went with the actor when he showed up at Pragati Bhavan for the meeting with KCR.
Santosh Kumar said thanks to Vijay for supporting his Green India Challenge and pointed toward working on the green cover.
On the work front, after the success of Beast, Thalapathy Vijay has started shooting for his upcoming film Thalapathy 66. A few days back, Vijay had shared many pics from the muhurat of the film's shooting. Rashmika Mandanna is likely to play the lead role in the film.
Apart from Rashmika Mandanna, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha and Yogi Babu will also be seen in important roles in 'Thalapati 66', which is going to be directed by Vamshi. It is being told that this film will be released in theaters in 2023 on the special occasion of Pongal.
