Boeing Grounds 737-9 Fleet After Mid-Air Horror Of Window Blow-Out On Alaska Airlines Flight


An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 MAX made an emergency landing in Oregon on Friday after a window and chunk of its fuselage blew out in mid-air, as reported by news agency AP. Following the incident, Alaska Airlines took a decision to temporarily ground the 65 Boeing 737-9 aircraft.


"Following tonight’s event on Flight 1282, we have decided to take the precautionary step of temporarily grounding our fleet of 65 Boeing 737-9 aircraft. Each aircraft will be returned to service only after completion of full maintenance and safety inspections. We anticipate all inspections will be completed in the next few days," the airlines said in a statement.

The viral video was said to be from December 24. In the video captured, a birthday party was held for an inmate identified as Arun Kumar, alias Mani, within Barrack Number 4 of Ludhiana Jail. Confirming the incident, IG prisoner Roop Kumar revealed to ABP News, "This video pertains to the celebration of the birthday of the accused, Arun Kumar, also known as Mani, on December 24. The Jail Department has ordered an inquiry into the matter."


FSSAI Issues Show Cause Notice To IndiGo After Woman Finds Worm In Sandwich


Food safety regulator FSSAI has issued a show cause notice to the country's largest airline IndiGo for serving unsafe food to a passenger. On Wednesday, the airline said it has received the show cause notice and would respond as per protocol. According news agency PTI, the notice came days after a worm was found in a sandwich served onboard a flight.


An IndiGo spokesperson said the airline is in receipt of a "show cause notice from FSSAI with regard to a food item served on flight 6E 6107 from Delhi to Mumbai. We will be responding to the notice, as per protocol".
