Six people were killed while another six were left injured in a road accident in Haryana's Rewari on Sunday night. The accident occurred when another car rammed into the vehicle when its tyres were being changed. The incident took place near Masani village when the affected people were returning after offering prayers at the Khatu Shyam temple in Rajasthan. 

 

The police told news agency PTI  that the deceased have been identified as Ghaziabad residents Roshni (58), Neelam (54), Poonam Jain (50) and Shikha (40), Sunil (24) - a resident of Kharkhara and the driver has been identified as Vijay (40) --  a resident of Himachal Pradesh.  The injured were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals in Rewari and Gurugram.


Meanwhile, one person was killed and 10 people were injured in a road accident near Hajo in the Kamrup district of Assam. Police told the news agency that the accident took place early morning on Sunday when a speeding van collided with a motorcycle -- killing the bike rider, identified as Fulbar Ali of Mukalmua, on the spot. The injured people were immediately rushed to the hospital.
