A mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by three minors in the Ghatkopar area of Mumbai when she went use the toilet.The accused allegedly took the girl forcefully inside the toilet, raped her and recorded a video which was later uploaded on social media, the Mumbai police said.
The police said the girl’s brother saw the video that went viral and informed relatives. A case has been filed in the Ghatkopar police station and the accused minors have been sent to a juvenile home. A further probe is underway in the matter.
Minor raped by neighbour in UP
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped and her mother was thrashed by the accused's family members in a village here, police said on Thursday.
The incident happened in the area under Deoraniya Kotwali police station on Wednesday, they said.
The minor was alone when her 42-year-old neighbour barged into her house and raped her, Inspector Indra Kumar said citing the complaint of the victim’s mother.
The accused also threatened to kill the victim and fled from the spot, he said, adding when the minor’s family returned in the evening, she told them about the incident.
Following this, when the minor’s mother went to the accused’s house to confront him, his wife and daughter thrashed her with sticks and threatened to kill her if she reports the matter.
An FIR has been registered against the accused people and the girl has been sent for a medical examination, Kumar said.
Further investigations and efforts to nab the accused on, he said.
Minor girl gang-raped in MP's Jabalpur
A 12-year-old minor girl belonging to a tribal community was allegedly gang-raped by three persons in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district, the police said on Monday.
The incident took place on Sunday. The police came to know about it after the victim lodged a complaint at a police station on Monday.
According to the police, one of the accused was known as the victim for the last two months.
On Sunday, while the victim, who lives in a village in Jabalpur district, was on her way to meet her maternal aunt in Jabalpur city, met one of the accused Pancham Thakur.
Pancham offered her a ride on the bike, assuring her that he would drop her at her aunt's residence. However, he took her to a forest area, where he was joined by his two friends -- Brijesh Thakur and Bali Thakur.
Before the victim could sense anything, they overpowered her, and allegedly took turns raping her.
