New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party secured a thumping mandate by the people of India in the 2019 general elections. As per election commission data, the BJP had registered wins on more than 300 out of the 542 Lok Sabha seats where the general elections took place from April 11 to May 19.


The BJP swept the Hindi heartland, made massive inroads into Eastern India and did exceedingly well in their historically strong bastions in the Western Indian states of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
