After launching the 2018 Countryman in India a few weeks ago, Mini has now introduced the 2018 models of the 3-door CooperS and Cooper D, the 5-door Cooper D and the convertible Cooper S. All three versions of the Mini Cooper will be imported to India via the CBU (completely built unit) route and will be available at Mini dealerships across the country starting June 2018. The prices of the updated models are as follows:

Here’s what's new in the 2018 Mini Cooper
Exterior
New Mini logo on the bonnet, tailgate, steering wheel, central instrument display and remote control. :
Updated circular headlamps incorporating a circular ring LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and turn indicators
The tail lamps now sport the Union Jack design
Interior and features
New multi-function steering and new front sports seats as standard
A new 6.50-inch colour infotainment display with Bluetooth as standard
Offered as optional is a 6.5-touchscreen system with MINI radio visual boost that allows the driver to manage functions related to infotainment, telephone and vehicle settings
Another optional offering is a MINI Wired package which features an 8.8-inch touch screen with Touchpad controller, MINI Find Mate, Navigation System Professional, MINI Connected XL, telephony with wireless charging, second USB interface and a 20GB internal hard drive for media storage
Mini is also offering an optional MINI Excitement package which features 12-colour ambient lighting. It also includes Mini logo projection from the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs)
A panoramic sunroof, Apple CarPlay functionality, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon music system and an 8-channel digital amplifier are also being offered as optional features
Engine and performance
Under the bonnet, the 3-door Cooper S and the Convertible get a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine that makes 192PS of maximum power and 280Nm of torque. Mini says the 3-door Cooper S has a top speed of 235 kmph and sprints from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.7 seconds
The 3-door Cooper D and the 5-door Cooper D are powered by a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder diesel engine that makes 114PS of maximum power and 270Nm of peak torque. However, unlike the petrol, the diesel engine is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission
The 3- and 5-door Cooper D have a claimed top speed of 205kmph and can go from 0-100kmph in 9.2 seconds
The Cooper is also equipped with MINI driving modes that enables variable vehicle setup emphasising on comfort, sportiness and economy
In addition to the standard modes, a choice of SPORT and GREEN modes are also on offer. Other driver assistance features include cruise control, optional rear parking camera, park assistant and head-up display
For better fuel economy, the Mini also gets auto start/stop function and regenerative braking
Safety
Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, ABS with brake assist, dynamic stability control, cornering brake control and run-flat tyres as standard
