Siddharth Nagar: A grave negligence on part of the health workers during the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination has come to the fore in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharth Nagar as some people were administered the first dose of Covishield vaccine while the very same were given the second dose of Covaxin.

This incident has instilled fear in the people, who have taken both doses of the vaccine.

The instance is of Barhni Primary Health Zone in Siddharth Nagar district where around 20 people of Audahi Kalan village were given the first dose of Covishield. However, the same people were given the second dose of Covaxin on May 14 courtesy the callous approach of the health workers.

With this information gradually spreading, the people in the local health department began to put the onus on each other for the blunder committed.
