After the evidences are provided to the magistrate, the court will go to the stage of final argument.
Each one of the stars will be told what the witnesses have quoted and what their role has been in the case. Post this the defence lawyers will take a call and produce their witnesses at the time of crime.
An examining session will be held where each of the accused will be told what the statements the witnesses have given against them, as far as their role is in the crime.
The five Bollywood celebrities are accused of poaching blackbucks in 1998 during the shooting of movie Hum Saath Saath Hain. Two blackbucks, a protected animal under the Wildlife Protection Act, were killed on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur.
The actors cited security reasons for their absence from the court. Chief Judicial Magistrate Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit posted the matter to Friday, K.K. Vyas, counsel for Saif, Sonali and Neelam, told IANS.
The hearing, which was initially scheduled for Wednesday, was deferred to Friday.
