Despite being bitten by a cobra, a pop star carried on performing for 45 minutes before collapsing and dying on stage, in the village of Karawang, West Java, Indonesia.


The distressing video shows the moment Irma Bule (29) was attacked during the performance by the venomous snake.
The king cobra, called Rianti bit her thigh and injected venom into her bloodstream until a snake handler pulled reptile away.

The Indonesian singer was well-known for using reptiles in her acts.

The pop star carried on singing for 45 minutes, but began vomiting and having seizures. Later, she was confirmed dead in hospital.

It is pertinent to mention here that King cobras, one of the deadliest snakes on the planet, are found in India, Southeast Asia and southern China. They can grow up to 18 feet.

The amount of toxins released by them in a single bite is enough to kill an elephant or nearly 20 people.
