Polish TV presenter Marzena Rogalska was taking part in a well known trick where the participants slam their hands on sealed brown paper bags avoiding the one with a nail sticking upwards. However, the bags were muddled up by magician Marcin Poloniewicz and he in a lapse of judgement guided Rogalska to slam her hand directly onto the nail.
The spike went right through Rogalska's hand and she was immediately rushed to the hospital.
However, she later posted a video on Facebook with co-presenter and Marcin assuring the viewers that she was okay. She went on to defend the magician. "He didn't mean for this to happen," she said in Polish.
